Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality nursing care based on patient needs and departmental goals
• Utilize effective communication for safe patient handoffs and documentation
• Assess patient conditions and formulate care plans in collaboration with clients
• Implement and evaluate care plans, modifying them as needed
• Demonstrate safe use of equipment and medications
• Delegate and supervise tasks within legal practice scopes
• Act as a patient advocate and provide culturally competent care
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Current CA RN License
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of three years acute care experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school (Associate Degree or BSN accepted)
