Join a dedicated team as a Surgical Technologist specializing in Labor and Delivery within a prominent regional healthcare network in the Southeastern United States. This role focuses on providing exceptional patient care in the surgical suite, working closely under the guidance of Registered Nurses to meet patient outcomes and facility goals.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the scrub technologist during surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and readiness of surgical instruments. Operate complex monitoring and life-saving equipment, assist with patient transfers including anesthetized patients, and maintain safety standards by practicing Standard Precautions. The position requires extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting, and manual dexterity.

Education & Certifications

Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program is preferred.

Experience

Ideally, candidates will have at least one year of experience as a surgical technologist, particularly in labor and delivery or related surgical areas.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English, ability to tolerate long hours and variable shifts, and knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs. Visual and auditory acuity, good eye-hand coordination, and physical stamina are essential.
