Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. The position involves acute care responsibilities across various departments including Medical, Surgery, Emergency, ICU, Childbirth, Pediatrics, Operating Room, and more.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Maintain and apply up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills, making appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and expertise.
• Deliver excellent patient and visitor relations, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams to manage expectations and ensure a positive care experience.
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting incidents, and supporting a culture of safety and privacy.

• Foster teamwork by motivating colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and providing mentorship and constructive feedback.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years of acute care nursing if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications are required and must be maintained.

Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Environment:

Shift: Night shift from 6:00pm to 6:00am, full-time (36 hours weekly). This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
