Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to obstetric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
- Provide clinical leadership to the healthcare team during assigned shifts, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, midwives, and specialists to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, maintaining compliance with safety and infection control standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments, recognizing normal and abnormal findings, and promptly communicating relevant data to physicians and team members.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care strategies tailored to each patient's unique needs to achieve measurable health outcomes.
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to team members, supporting professional growth and team development.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, peers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Actively pursue ongoing education through unit-based in-service programs, literature review, and participation in professional development activities.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication.
- Educate patients and their families, employing appropriate teaching strategies to promote health and safety.
- Manage bed assignments and coordinate patient care delivery during the shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications.
- Proven experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical learning.
- Competitive hourly pay rate: $37.23 - $57.71, based on experience.
- Shift differential: $4.00 on weekdays, an additional $2.00 on weekends (stackable).
