Comfortable caring for 2 to 4 patients
Good problem-solving skills
Fetal monitoring
Ability to manage obstetric emergencies and rapid responses
Independently managing laboring patients, including high-risk cases
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
Description:
The Labor and Birth Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting.
This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
Experience managing routine and high-risk obstetric patients is essential.
The Labor and Birth RN collaborates closely with obstetric providers, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams.
The focus is on ensuring safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care throughout the labor and birth process.
Candidates should possess strong skills in fetal monitoring, interpretation, labor support and coaching, medication administration, IV therapy, and managing obstetric emergencies.
Candidates must be able to adapt quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records.
