Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in West Bloomfield, MI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active MI licensure.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit at a hospital setting in West Bloomfield, MI
• Night shift schedule (7p start), 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — candidates without all three will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Post-partum experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Delegates, supervises, and documents patient care and patient/family education
• Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient care goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite with a passing score, typically one week prior to start
• No blocked scheduling
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to acceptance of the assignment; requests made after the assignment begins will require manager approval
