The Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to respond to emergencies, and a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 1-2+ years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• Active Illinois RN License (Required prior to start)
• BLS Certification (AHA - Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• NRP Certification (Required)
• Experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in high-acuity or hospital-based L&D units
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring systems
• Strong patient care and communication skills
Work Environment
• Labor & Delivery Unit
• Onsite role in Mattoon, IL
• Fast-paced, patient-centered clinical environment
Additional Requirements
• Must be flexible with night shifts and scheduling needs
• Ability to handle emergency and high-risk situations
• Must comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements
